Suicide: a chance to survive

Image
"Life is hard but it's worth living". Every year in India, more than 1,00,000 people commit suicide because of many reasons. It may be family issues, personal well-being, mental health, career problems, etc. for such a horrific and numb decision. Global rates:  Suicide (who.int) Image source :  India has the highest suicide rate in South-East Asia: WHO (downtoearth.org.in) I often question myself, from where does the "drive to finish life" expand inside the mind of individuals. The most common answer which I found throughout these years is society. Society plays a very important role in setting up an environment where people can live in groups and grow. Beliefs are turned into traditions and benchmarks are set to become the ultimate of all. I guess some part of the end of life generates from this stereotypical pressure.   Let's take an example: A boy named Rahul Jain used to live in Navi Mumbai with his family of 6 members. Rahul's father pushed him to b...

RAPE: the cry for help.

Image
"Raise your voice and fight against the evil." India is the land of a variety of cultures, traditions, and beliefs. I am a resident and citizen of this country since 1997 and have been brought up in a typical middle-class family. Everything about India makes me feel proud, belonged, and special but there are several drawbacks that keep haunting me every now and then. One such thing is women being raped around the country. According to Google : a total of 2,382 rape cases were recorded in 2021 in India.  Image source : https://images.app.goo.gl/awgGWDHUDi1ByAj49 This is only about an estimate from last year. Now, imagine the statistics of the past 10 years. This is not only an issue but a major problem around the streets of India. A girl/woman walking towards home alone has become a threat. A girl wearing the clothes of her choice justifies her reason for getting raped. A married woman has to stay at home as she might be in trouble if she moves outside past 8:00 pm.  Well,...

DROUGHT: the growth

Image
" Even in the darkest hour a life can survive". Life is a journey. Sometimes you feel like you are on top of the world with no worries in your mind whereas, sometimes its the opposite that is life tests you with hardships. It is your duty to make way for each and every moment and live it happily. Here, adaptability plays a key role in how you manage to keep up with the ups and downs.  Let's take a cactus in the picture.  We all are familiar to the drought conditions of a desert. Most of the plants are not able to grow on such barren lands as its very hot and contains very little water.  In such a dark condition, plants such as desert cactus can have a growth and enjoy a life. A cactus holds a firm grip to the sand and develops thorns to store water and fight against herbivores. It wanted to grow whatever the land may throw at it. The thirst to survive is immense in this plant and hence it acts as a precise example of adaptability. This can be compared to our daily lives w...

INNOCENCE: the best stage of life.

Image
"Let the child's soul in you live forever". The word innocence can be broken down as "in-no-sense" that is the period or time where a soul cannot decide what's good or bad for him/her.  The soul enjoys the patterns of the new life and stays happy most of the time. No stress, no extra drama just breathing positivity in and out.  If I was given an offer to relive the innocent stage, I would want to relive that small child's life once again and have the brightest smile with imaginations floating and talking in gibberish language.  Do you guys remember the last time you sat over and thought nothing just nothing after looking at the world falling apart? No maybe. As all our souls have grown up through different phases of life now and will continue growing, we think, we jugde, we react and what not over the simplest of things which sometimes causes serious scars for a soul. The world today still has rascism, ego, excetra hovering around like the evil. This has...

COCOON: the breakout

Image
"We are the products of nature; nature is not our product". A living thing when born, wants to break out of the protected cocoon and fly like a bird in the wild. It is the only way to grow and sustain because I believe when you want to learn and grow, your parents can only guide you but the final flight has to be taken by you.  The picture depicts a bird's cage where people keep the flight kings and queens while feeding them. It displays a show or rather a hobby to keep living creatures away from the flight/freedom they deserve.   Imagine you in a boxed room. No where else to go, no one extra to interact with the community of your own. How would that feel?  Well, not only in case of animals but in general if we consider of ourselves, it may have happened that you have been restricted from a certain thing which your heart wanted. Quite normal for students maybe while some are pursuing the things they never wanted. I say don't restrict the nature to grow as you are als...
